Gay has been with the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration since 2000, and was named Administrator of Workforce Investment in June 2004. Gay's many roles include working with America's workforce investment system, employment and training programs and the ETA's Business Relations Group.
One of the main focuses of Gay's office is fostering collaboration between business and industry, education partners and strategic partners. The goal is to develop workforce strategies to train workers in the necessary skills for their job and to supply businesses with talented workers with the necessary skills.
